HBO’s Game of Thrones has been off the air now for a few months, but fans still love it and want more. Luckily for us, at Day 1 of New York Comic Con, the good folks at Insight Editions blessed the fans with the panel “Learn How Game of Thrones Was Brought to Life From the Official Set Photographer.” The panel was a fun and informative discussion of one of their new oversized coffee table books, The Photography of Game of Thrones, which is filled with behind the scenes pictures from the official on-set photographer Helen Sloan with text by Michael Kogge.
Joined by Game of Thrones Production Designer Deborah Riley and Book Editor Amanda Eng, Sloan talked about how she became the official on-set photographer on one of the world’s most-watched shows, giving insight to her technique and some great anecdotes from the set, like how her child was used as Daenerys’ and Khal Drogo’s dream baby.
When you start putting together your Christmas list, make sure these are on it. For more information on this and the companion book, The Art of Game of Thrones, check the official press release for the coffee table books below.
