Last December during Disney’s Investor Day presentation we got our first look at the upcoming Loki Disney+ original series  which looks to be delightfully bonkers. Today a new Loki trailer was released, and seems to reveal that the series will finally show fans what the eponymous God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) has been up to since he got his hands on the Tesseract during Avengers: Endgame‘s time heist gone wrong.

Described by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige as a “crime thriller” it looks like Loki will be recruited as an agent for the Time Variance Authority, aka the Timekeepers, an organization whose duty as explained by Owen Wilson‘s character Mobius in the trailer is “to protect the proper flow of time.”

There’s a lot of quick glimpses of things in the new trailer, but just like the first trailer shown during the aforementioned Disney’s Investor Day presentation, there’s a quick shot (shown above) of what we can only assume to be Natasha Romanoff a.k.a Black Widow, so it looks like we’re heading back to Vormir.

As viewers have learned from WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, unexpected characters are bound to pop up in these Marvel Disney+ original shows, so start speculating on who else may be appearing in the Loki series. Perhaps an encounter with Captain America/Steve Rogers during the timeline where he married Peggy Carter?

Whatever the case, you definitely should stay off the internet when new episodes drop every Friday if you want to be sure to avoid spoilers. Loki is scheduled to debut on Friday, June 11, 2021 on Disney+.
