I haven’t gotten around to finishing Twin Peaks The Return yet, but here’s a piece of benefit art that is sufficiently weird and meta to go along with the show. It’s a drawing of Wally Brando by Bryan Lee O’Malley. What does that mean?

Wally Brando was a character on Twin Peaks the Return, the son of Andy and Lucy who went off to join a motorcycle gang.
—–>Wally Brando was played by Michael Cera.
———->Michael Cera also played Scott Pilgrim in the movie.
————–>Bryan Lee O’Malley drew Scott Pilgrim
———————->And here’s the “Scott Pilgrim” style drawing of Cera as Brando which is…it just makes sense, okay?

Here’s something that makes even MORE SENSE: Toronto’s Papergirl Press is selling a print of this with O’Malley’s share of the proceeds going to help Puerto Rico’s hurricane recovery via the Hispanic Federation. The print will have a limited run of 100 for $40 each (unsigned).

According to O’Malley: “Twin Peaks: The Return is the best thing I’ve seen on TV maybe ever, and when I saw a familiar face on the screen, I just had to pay my respects.”

One hundred percent of the donations to Hispanic Federation’s UNIDOS Disaster Relief Fund will help hurricane victims and the recovery efforts through fellow community and civic organizations in Puerto Rico.
