After announcing its Spider-Man/Venom Free Comic Book Day Gold title a few weeks ago, and a special Marvel’s Voices FCBD one-shot the following week, today Marvel revealed details for their third and final FCBD title, an Avengers/X-Men one-shot.

Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/X-Me

Hot on the heels of the upcoming Judgment Day event that sees the Avengers caught in the middle in a war between the Eternals and the X-Men, which Marvel revealed first details about earlier today, the Avengers/X-Men FCBD issue will give fans their first glimpse at the conflict in a prelude story by writer Kieron Gillen and artist Dustin Weaver.

Likewise, ahead of the second annual Hellfire Gala event and a new X-Men team lineup, a lead-in story from ongoing X-Men writer Gerry Duggan and artist Matteo Lolli will tease what’s to come for Marvel’s merry mutants.

Finally, Marvel teased the debut of a new hero named Bloodline in a story from writer Danny Lore and artist Karen Darboe. With fans eagerly anticipating actor Mahershala Ali making his debut as Blade in the MCU after a tease in the recent Eternals film, could Bloodline have some connection to the daywalker? Let the fan speculation begin!

The Avengers/X-Men one-shot will feature a main cover by Valerio Schiti, as well as a 1:1000 incentive variant drawn by Peach Momoko.

Unlike Marvel’s other two FCBD offerings, FREE COMIC BOOK DAY: AVENGERS/X-MEN #1 will be available through both Diamond Comics and through Marvel’s exclusive primary distributor, Penguin Random House. Clearly they want to make sure this issue gets in front of as many eyes as possible.

Keep an eye out for more Free Comic Book Day 2022 announcements. This one-shot will be available in comics shop on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
