Today, Mad Cave Studios announced You Are On Native Land: A Charity Comic for Indigenous Rights, an anthology comprised of stories and art donated by some of the comic industry’s biggest Indigenous creators. All profits from the anthology are to be donated to the Not Our Native Daughters organization, which according to the official PR, is “a Native-led, survivor-led organization dedicated to addressing the Missing, Murdered, and Exploited Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) crisis.”

The anthology will include work by Jon Proudstar, Gord Hill, Chas Lowry, Jackie Fawn, Steph Littlebird, Roy Boney, Jim Terry, David Cutler, David Mack and more. You Are On Native Land promises a variety of flavors of Indigenous comics, as well as a reprint of Tribal Force #1, featuring a superhero team comprised entirely of Indigenous heroes.

In a quote included in the press release, writer and illustrator Arihhonni “Honni” Cannon Clay David said:

“I wanted to share an ongoing series I’ve been working on through my illustrations, modernizing the Flying Head Legends. The pieces show how our youth would face off with these horrible legends of old while centering on our people’s resilience even in the face of such overwhelming odds. We are still here. I hope this anthology reaches as many people as it can across Turtle Island, lending support to MMIWG survivors and amplifying the voices of so many Indigenous creatives.”

And contributing poet Kelly Lynne D’Angelo stated:

“Storytelling has always been a way our people carry truth forward. Being part of You Are On Native Land means honoring that responsibility, not just to be seen, but to be heard, celebrated, and held. This work was created in the spirit of giving, as our people do, and I hope readers feel that care in every page. More than anything, I hope this anthology helps people move beyond seeing Native communities and their efforts as separate from their own, and instead recognize the deep connection and responsibility we all share to each other and to the land, at large, now more than ever.”
