While for some thoughts are turning to Thought Bubble in Leeds or the Miami Book Fair, ou on the west coast, it’s the fifht anniversary edition of the Long Beach Horror & Comic Con. It’s set in the scenic environs of the Long Beach Convention Center, which is one of my favorite con spots on the west coast. Long Beach puts the emphasis on comics, and has a strong guest list which you can read below. (You may recall that one of the show organizers, Mike Scigliano, gave us a behind the scenes on the making of the show last year.) Publishers include Aspen Comics, IDW, Top Cow, Boom! Studios, Hero Initiative, and Skybound. You can see all the programming here. The organizers sent along some pics from last year to get things going.
