Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the holiday gift that just keep giving; not only is it the type of movie you instantly want to see again upon exiting the theater, but it also has two great albums based off of it – both composed and from various artists. Today, the album number increases to three as, like a last minute Christmas miracle, Sony Pictures Animation Inc. has dropped A Very Spidey Christmas – EP.

Now, true believers that have seen Spider-Verse may remember that the Peter Parker from Miles Morales’ universe dropped a Christmas album, including the hit “Spidey-Bells (A Hero’s Lament)” that can be heard in the film’s credits. This festive album, released today, not only incorporates that song but also includes some interdimensional Spidey voices to help spread a little Christmas cheer. Coming in at just about 10 minutes, the five track EP features vocals from Spider-Verse cast members Shameik Moore, Chris Pine, Jake Johnson, and Jorma Taccone.

1. “Joy to the World”

Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) relays he’ll keep you safe as your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man while also wondering why he doesn’t get paid (Web fluid isn’t cheap you know?).

2. “Spidey-Bells (A Hero’s Lament)”

Peter Parker (Chris Pine) sings about the joys of fighting crime in New York until he breaks down in a moment of existential crisis.

3. “Deck the Halls”

Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson) performs his own spirited rendition of “Deck the Halls.”

4. “Up on the House Top”

Peter Parker (Chris Pine) croons about the various presents he’ll deliver to his foes including a good webbing and incarceration.

5. “The Night Before Christmas 1967 (Spoken Word)”

Spider-Man (Jorma Taccone) reads his version of The Night Before Christmas — one where his Spidey sense leads him to an encounter with Santa Claus himself.

A Very Spidey Christmas – EP is a nice Christmas treat for fans who saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and can’t get enough. Short and sweet it’s great that the EP incorporates the actors from the movie and, based off the infectious charm of the songs, they seemed to have a blast performing their characters’ version of holiday classics.

If you want to listen to this while wrapping presents or drinking egg nog by the fireplace, you can find A Very Spidey Christmas – EP on various music platforms to purchase or stream today.
