Kodansha USA has partnered with INKR Comics, a new app for reading and publishing comics, adding more than 400 volumes of manga to the app’s existing library. This week, several manga series that have inspired anime will be added to the selections on the app, including Your Lie in April, A Silent Voice, and Attack on Titan.

And next week, even more selections from the Kodansha library will be added to the INKR Comics library, including Fire Force, The Seven Deadly Sins, and FAIRY TAIL.

The INKR Comics app, which is available for free download, was launched in October of 2020. Once downloaded, readers can select from free-to-read chapters or subscribe to the in-app INKR EXTRA, a service will allows access to additional content, including comics from international publishers like Image and TokyoPop. While you can try INKR EXTRA for free, subscription to the service will set you back $4.99 a month after the 30-day trial period.

According to the press release, which you can read in its entirety below, INKR Comics is based out of Singapore, with a team that works in Vietnam. According to the description in the press release, their aim is to utilize comics not just for narrative, but they hope to utilize the educational and communicative potential of the medium, as well.
