We’re only a few days away from Zack Snyder‘s long-awaited Justice League arriving on HBO Max. In anticipation, Warner Bros. has released a new Snyder Cut trailer showcasing the all-new content they’ve been teasing for the past year.
As Snyder revealed earlier this year in a series of social media posts, a scene between Martian Manhunter (Harry Lennix) disguised as Martha Kent (Diane Lane) and Lois Lane (Amy Adams) didn’t make the theatrical version. The trailer offers a quick look at that scene, featuring Diane Lane with glowing red eyes.
The trailer also offers a glimpse of Green Lantern Yalan Gur, a deep cut character from the comics. A quick Google search reveals that Gur was the very first Green Lantern to serve in Space Sector 2814 (which includes Earth), and his backstory serves as a bridge between the Green Lantern Corps and the origin for Golden Age Green Lantern Alan Scott.
The Snyder Cut Justice League trailer also features Zeus, played by Sergi Constance, during the 300-esque flashback sequence of Darkseid’s original invasion of Earth.
Keep your eyes peeled this week for The Beat‘s review of the film. Zack Snyder’s Justice League premieres on HBO Max on March 18th.
In Zack Snyder’s Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.
