Image is celebrating having 18 Eisner nominations by doing something Beat readers enjoy (at least the Beat readers who don’t own comic stores) — they’re having a Comixology sale and the Amazon website doesn’t appear to be participating in this one.

A little advice for things not on the Eisner list, but that are on sale:  Chew recently finished it’s run and it’s really good material if you haven’t sampled it.  Southern Bastards is Jason Aaron’s best work and do yourself a favor and read Volumes 1 & 2 back-to-back, for maximum effect. The Autumnlands is also a lot of fun.

For those on the Eisner nominees list, relative to the list, I’ve always thought Descender didn’t get quite enough love.  It’s probably my favorite Lemire book.

Official PR follows:

In celebration of the 18 Eisner Award-nominated Image titles announced by Comic-Con International last week, the digital editions will be on sale at ComiXology today, May 1st through 14th. Now fans will be able to stock up on their favorite series and try out these critically acclaimed titles in anticipation of the forthcoming awards night.
