IDW has announced that Denton Tipton will now be overseeing the daily operations of the editorial department as the publisher’s managing editor. The official reveal comes from IDW’s Twitter page with the following.

Tipton has worked with the folks at IDW for nearly 11 years now, in a variety of different positions. His first job with the company was an editorial position in 2008. Eight years later, he upgraded to senior editor/writer, spent two years in that position, was moved to group editor/writer and, most recently, became managing editor. In that time, Tipton also garnered recognition as the 2018 Disney Worldwide Publishing Best New Licensee for his work on Star Wars Adventures. 

Aside from his work in a galaxy far, far away, Tipton also worked extensively with IDW’s Doctor Who series, The X-Files, Transformers and much more. On the writing side, Tipton is currently throwing his hat into the ring with the series, Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues. Based on the premium YouTube show, Tipton is working alongside artist Kagan McLeod.
