Next month, Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment will release I Hate This Place #9. The second-to-last issue of the horror series comes from the creative team of writer Kyle Starks, artist Artyom Topilin, colorist Lee Loughridge, and letterer Pat Brosseau. Today, ahead of its preorder cutoff date, The Beat is pleased to debut a preview for the issue.

Here’s how Skybound describes I Hate This Place #9:

Questions will be answered as Gabby and Trudy face terrors from their past, present and future in this issue of I Hate This Place! With just one more issue before the series finale, this is can’t-miss reading of the highest degree.

Along with a main cover by Topilin, the issue will, as all issues of this series have, feature a variant cover with the alternate, explicit Fuck This Place title and the same cover artwork.

In a statement accompanying the preview, Skybound Editorial Director Alex Antone expressed his enthusiasm at bringing the issue to readers:

“Buckle up! We’re so proud to bring you toward the explosive finale to this incredible series. While we still Hate This Place, we will always love the story that Kyle, Artyom, Lee, and Pat have told.”

Check out the preview of I Hate This Place #9, as well as the variant f-bomb cover, below. The penultimate issue of the series is due out in stores and digitally on Wednesday, June 7th. The final order cut-off date for the issue is next Monday, May 15th.
