Just days after Microsoft’s Inside Xbox showcase, its chief video game competitor Sony presented fans with a deep dive into the gameplay of its upcoming PlayStation 4 title Ghost of Tsushima. The video arrives only a couple of months before the samurai game’s new July 17 release date, giving people on the fence more reasons it’s worth their time and $60. The game is developed by Sucker Punch, the studio behind the Infamous series, and stars Jin Saka, one of the only remaining samurai on Tsushima Island in the midst of the first Mongol invasion of Japan in the 1270s.

The 19-minute State of Play runs through how players can travel through and explore the vast open world, including a look at several different environments and an explanation of the map system. The video also delves into the combat of Ghost of Tsushima, highlighting some of the weapons the protagonist can use and how players get to choose whether to play the character as an honorable samurai or as the Ghost who will do whatever it takes to take down his enemies.
