Dynamite Entertainment hd announced their Silver Free Comic Book Day offering for 2025 will be Gargoyles: Demona #0, a new entry in the beloved Disney series, starring the titular villain, voiced by Marina Sirtis. Creator and writer Greg Weisman will reunite with artist Frank Paur (who directed numerous episodes of the original show) on the comic, lettered by Jeff Eckleberry and featuring cover art by Meghan Hetrick, which will be available in comics stores on Saturday, May 3.
VENGEANCE TEN CENTURIES IN THE MAKING!
The tragic tale of Demona, sworn enemy of Disney’s Gargoyles, begins in Dynamite Entertainment’s special Free Comic Book Day issue #0 of Gargoyles: Demona!
For a thousand years, while the heroic Gargoyles slept, their nemesis Demona has been wide awake — scheming and plotting her revenge against humanity for destroying her kind. And although Goliath and his clan of Gargoyles will do everything they can to protect their adopted New York City, they are not prepared for the lengths to which Demona will go in order to enact her twisted plan for justice — or for how large a part they themselves will play in carrying it out!
Written by Gargoyles creator GREG WEISMAN, illustrated by acclaimed artist (and veteran of the original animated series) FRANK PAUR, and featuring a stunning cover by MEGHAN HETRICK, Gargoyles: Demona #0 kicks off an electrifying new chapter in the timeless saga of the Manhattan Clan — culminating in an unbelievable four-page preview that will leave readers old and new clamoring for more!
In case you missed it, besides the Gargoyles: Demona Silver title Dynamite’s main Gold offering on the day will be Thundercats/Powerpuff Girls #0, the kick-off to an unlikely Cartoon Network/Warner Bros. crossover by Paulina Ganucheau and Coleman Engle. More details on the series these titles will presumably lead into will be announced at a later date.
In the meantime, you can check out the newly released full list of next year’s FCBD titles here. Dynamite’s Gargoyles line will continue with the fifth and final issue of Gargoyles Quest on December 4, plus the Winter Special on December 18, and the collections of the recent Dark Ages and Here in Manhattan arcs respectively on January 5, and January 29.
