Alzheimer is a terrifying and awful disease. It is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, becoming severe enough to interfere with daily tasks. It’s difficult to see a loved one going through this. Glynnis Fawkes illustrate a single interaction with her mother and the reader quickly understand the devastating nature of the illness. It’s heartbreaking to see someone you love forgetting things as important as a wedding or a child, or as little as what day it is. This is a very touching comic.
