This weekend’s grand opening for the Fantagraphics store was a night long to be spoken of in Seattle lore, and Flog! has a ton of pictures and hung-over reports, here, here, here, here and even possibly here. The Rheas rocked out (above) and much more befell:
All three galleries were packed elbow-to-elbow all night, and once the galleries closed down, the neighboring 9lb. Hammer bar became the destination of choice for those of us who didn’t want the evening to end. It was just a blast of a night. I’m so grateful to everyone who came out, especially a crew of Portlanders who drove up just for the evening (Zack, Sarah, Tim, Josh, Dylan, Andrice, Jesse, etc. — thank you!) only to have to rent a different car to get home because Dylan’s broke down in Seattle.
