Continuing our look at this fall’s top graphic novels, Koyama Press is reissuing Julia Wertz’s Drinking at the Movies, originally published by Three RIvers press but here reissued with all new material and an intro by Janeane Garaofolo.

Wertz’s comic strips are autobiographical, but fearless in their honesty, and forgiving in bringing a light touch to events that are as hilarious to the reaer as disastrous to the participants. The ups and downs of Gen Y/Millennial life, the awful jobs, the bad dates, the poor life choices…no one has covered as sharply and as Wertz.  And for those following along her like chronology with books such as Museum of Mistakes and The Infinite Wait, the title of this books is…foreshadowing, let’s just say.

Here’s an exclusive peek at some of the new material within.
