When the new Nightwing series kicked off back in the Summer of last year, Dick found himself face to face with a mysterious assassin whose past yielded major ramifications within Nightwing’s own. After their tenuous partnership dissolved, our hero has returned to Bludhaven, gained and lost a relationship, a rekindled his old team-up with his own protege Damian Wayne. And now, just when stability is beginning to creep into his life, Raptor makes his return! Just ahead of Sam Humphries and Bernard Chang taking over the title in December, Tim Seeley (who is basically switching with Humphries, as he takes the helm on Green Lanterns) provides one last blow-up in “Raptor’s Revenge” with Miguel Mendonca on art duties.

Nightwing #30 is in stores next week, and The Beat has an exclusive preview below:

“RAPTOR’S REVENGE” part one! Nightwing rejected Raptor’s offer to be his new protégé. And since he escaped prison months ago, Raptor has been making his plans to show Nightwing that if he didn’t want Raptor as a mentor…he will get him as the worst enemy he’s ever had! Now, Raptor is back in Blüdhaven with secrets and a plan that will tear the city apart—and could put Nightwing out of commission forever!

  1. Not a fan of the interior artwork, but I love that first cover, the one after Frank Miller. Who drew it?
