While I’m still in a post-SDCC haze, having flown back from San Diego at 2 p.m. and arrived back home in Atlanta around 10 p.m. … thanks so much time zones! During that flight though, I was able to take in a read of this week’s Dial H for Hero #5…and it leaves me in a great position to share this week’s exclusive preview of the issue, which hits shelves Wednesday at a comic shop near you.
Miguel and Summer are crossing paths with original “Dialer” Robby Reed, all the while the villainous Mister Thunderbolt is looking to wreck havoc and has a plan you will not see coming! No spoilers or embargo-breaking here, but this series as a whole is Sam Humphries‘ best DC work yet and Joe Quinones is putting on a masterclass of adventure-based storytelling and playing in a number of distinct styles that really sets Dial H apart. It’s just great fun. I mean…look at the Mazzucchelli tribute down below! So good.
Dial H for Hero #5 is out this week and you can check out The Beat‘s exclusive preview after the solicit. Wonder Comics is just killing it.
The hunt is on! Miguel and Summer must journey into the Heroverse in pursuit of Mr. Thunderbolt, who has stolen the H-Dial and threatens to destroy it all! But if they wish to survive, Miguel and Summer must discover the secrets of the Operator, the origin of Mr. Thunderbolt and the history of the Heroverse! All the answers you’ve been waiting for are right here!
