If you have ever wondered what James Bond was doing before becoming 007 for MI6, James Bond Origin is the perfect series for you. Writer Jeff Parker (Aquaman, Fantastic Four, Flash Gordon) and artist Bob Q (The Lone Ranger, Red Sonja) tell the tales of a young James Bond in 1941. At only 17 years old, Bond is a restless student in Scotland, an orphan, and ready to make his mark in the world.

The first six issues of the series are now collected in a 160-page hardcover. The first arc centers on Bond receiving a visit from an old family friend, which coincides with the Clydebank Blitz, the most devastating German attack on Scotland during World War 2. Bond must fight to survive, but when he emerges on the other side, he will have gained the drive to make a difference, which leads him to his calling in the new British government service.

In addition to issues #1 through #6, the Volume 1 hardcover also offers fans exciting bonus content and a cover by John Cassaday. Dynamite shared exclusive pages with The Beat ahead of the book’s release on Wednesday July 24. Check out your local comic shop to get your copy of James Bond Origin Vol 1 or visit the publisher’s website to order. You can also find the next arc of the series, issues #7 to #12, through your trusted retailer or on Dynamite’s site.
