Comics took a hit thanks to COVID-19, leaving many series in limbo. With the last installment released back in December, Dynamite is now ready to continue the adventures of Bart Hill this week with Death Defying ‘Devil #5.

Penned by Eisner-nominated writer Gail Simone (Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman, Domino) and illustrated by Walter Geovani (Red Sonja, Clean Room), the issue features covers by Inhyuk Lee, Erica Henderson, and Riccardo Federici. There are also black and white versions of Henderson and Federici’s entries, with the latter getting a virgin variant as well. Read a synopsis here:

The Death-Defying ‘Devil, aka Bart Hill, has done everything he can to protect the residents of the Winslow House from the evil that wants their home. Will he have to make the ultimate sacrifice to save the people that took him in when he needed help the most?
The Defender of Right…

  1. I wanna support this stuff but the whole “is it pork, WHO KNOWS” nudge nudge kind of humor that’s so prevelent in MCU films is right here, it’s like the writer(s) feel self-conscious about writing COMIC BOOKS they’ve got to diffuse any dramatic tension with corny asides all the time. Sigh. Super-hero comics are so interchangeable and so formula anymore.
