After receiving help from the tenants of the rundown Winslow House, the ‘Devil finds himself growing closer to the people he has sworn to protect. In Death Defying ‘Devil #2 the threats continue to loom, with a mystery brewing inside and threats on the outside closing in.
Writer Gail Simone (Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman, Domino) and artist Walter Geovani (Red Sonja, Clean Room) continue their new miniseries featuring the nearly 80-year-old superhero. Colorist Adriano Augusto (Red Sonja/Tarzan, KISS: Blood & Stardust) and letterer Simon Bowland (Red Sonja, The Boys) round out the team. Readers can select their favorite cover by artists Inhyuk Lee, Lucio Parrillo, and Riccardo Federici. There are also black and white and virgin variants of Federici’s cover as well as “Crimson Devil” and “Blue Hue” versions from Parrillo.
The original ‘Devil was created by Jack Binder for an eight-page backup feature in Lev Gleason Publications’ Silver Streak #6 in the 1940s. The character has been published various times by AC Comics, First Publications, and even Image Comics as one of the Golden Age characters in the Next Issue Project.
