Last year, DC Comics released a number of exclusive comics, including several Batman stories, exclusively in Walmart stores. Now, however, everyone has a chance to check out these fantastic tales. Brian Michael Bendis’ and Nick Derington’s gorgeous Batman adventure is being recollected and released in the Batman Universe series. This week, their tale continues with Batman Universe #3.
After a priceless Fabergé egg is stolen, Batman takes up the hunt to get it back. It hasn’t been the easiest adventure so far, taking Batman across the DC universe– far beyond the start of the adventure with the Riddler and Green Arrow. At this point, Batman isn’t even on Earth anymore! Upon touching the egg, Batman has found himself transported to Thanagar, the legendary home to the race Hawkman and Hawkgirl descend from.
Working alongside Green Lantern, Batman will have to quickly find his way back to Vandal Savage before he unlocks the secrets of the egg. Can the detective and the interstellar guardian locate Vandal in time?
