Mad Cave Studios and its all-ages and YA imprints, Maverick and Papercutz, have got a lot going on this weekend at Emerald City Comic Con. Between panels, signings, and a series of announcements, the company has made a space for itself beyond the horror space and has moved into several character-driven properties that span across all ages and genres.

With Maverick, Mad Cave Studios’ new young adult imprint features slice-of-life stories of urban fantasy and horror. Its approach to the graphic novel features inspiring character-driven stories where anyone can find themselves on the page.

As for Papercutz, the publisher has taken an approach to creating graphic novels for all ages. Recently partnered with Disney in producing Disney and Pixar graphing novel adaptions, the publisher has adopted a wide range of genres into its repertoire, with the intention of introducing young readers to comics.
