Netflix had previously announced that the second season of Umbrella Academy will be available for streaming on July 31st, 2020.

The poster features each member of the cast of the series wearing sunglasses, with reflections in the lens that tease the challenges each character will face over the course of the second season.

Umbrella Academy stars Elliot Page as Vanya (the White Violin), Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison (The Rumor), David Castañeda as Diego (the Kraken), Tom Hopper as Luther (Spaceboy), Aidan Gallagher as Number Five (the Boy), Robert Sheehan as Klaus (the Séance), and Justin H. Min as Ben (the Horror).

The series follows the super-powered Hargreeves siblings as they reunite in the wake of the death of their adoptive father (Colm Feore). Although they haven’t seen one another since childhood, they find that they still have plenty of unresolved differences among themselves. However, the family soon faces a world-threatening menace that will force them to set aside their differences and work together (no matter how difficult that may prove to be).

Umbrella Academy on Netflix is based on the comic series by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, which is published by Dark Horse. Steve Blackman serves as executive producer and showrunner for the Netflix series, while Way and Bá are co-executive producers and Keith Goldberg, Jeff F. King, and Mike Richardson are executive producers.

You can catch up on the first season of Umbrella Academy on Netflix right now, in advance of the season season’s release at the end of July. And if you’ve already watched the first season and still can’t get enough Umbrella Academy, there’s still time to read the first volume in the comic series, Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite, before the series returns!
