Dynamite announces that Space Ghost’s anticipated graphic novel collection is coming in November! Space Ghost by writer Davide Pepose and artist Jonathan Lau compiles its first six issues together for fans with many formats and options.
Dynamite States:
A light shines out in the darkness, and Dynamite’s revival of Space Ghost in comic books has been a best-selling and critical hit, uniting fans with a fresh perspective that perfectly captures the original nostalgic energy through the lens of modern superhero stylings.
Pepose has taken this chance to flex his passions for Space Ghost and his universe at every chance, connecting with old and new fans using exciting elements for each issue. Lau has been in charge of illustrating many of Dynamites greatest hits more than a decade, but has long been wanting to take on a more tradition superhero story again, his enthusiasm could not be more apparent!
Pepose says:
Combining superheroes and sci-fi with a universe filled with iconic characters and concepts, Space Ghost has been one of the most rewarding projects I’ve had in my entire career.
Jonathan Lau and I have been leaving it all out on the field for this series… whether you’re a newcomer or a diehard fan, we’re excited to show you why Space Ghost is one of the greatest heroes in the galaxy.
With Space Ghost #7 also hitting stores in november, Dynamite is set to give fans an ideal oppurtunity to binge the first six issues and catch up! Space Ghost Vol 1: With Only Ghosts to Comfort Us combines together the first half year of the new era, alongside a complete variant cover gallery, and topped off with an introduction by Pepose.
The book is available in both paperback and hardcover formats, featuring Francesco Mattina’s iconic cover on the first issue. There’s also a limited edition hardcover with a stunning cover by Michael Cho, signed by Pepose. Additionally, a special paperback edition with Cho’s cover will be available exclusively through comic book stores in the direct market.
Space Ghost VOL 1: With Only Ghosts to Comfort Us will be featured in Diamond Comic Distributors’ September 2024 Previews catalog and is scheduled for release in November 2024. Make sure to go to your local comic book shop and preorder the book so you don’t miss out!
Before its release, here’s a preview of its two covers by Francesco Mattina and Michael Cho!
I am curious how it is determined what press releases are made into “stories” on this site. It’s so odd.
