The Doom Patrol certainly has been getting a lot of love and attention from mainstream audiences ever since the DC Universe original series debuted earlier this year. Hands down, one of the best superhero shows produced in the last decade as this Beat article elucidates. Looks like we’ll have to wait a bit until Season 2 arrives, but if you’re looking to scratch a DP itch, Cartoon Network has you covered when Beast Boy pays his Doom Patrol family a visit in a Teen Titans Go! cartoon special “Beast Boy’s That’s What’s Up” airing tomorrow.
As you can see from the above clip, it’s a slight adaptation of Doom Patrol for the Teen Titans Go! continuity yet still retaining their customary weirdness. It’s not the first time we’ve seen Doom Patrol animated in the Teen Titans Go! style. Young Justice: Outsiders fans will recall that producers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti paid tribute to the TTG show, particularly since TTG gave some YJ love a few years back, by featuring a “Doom Patrol Go!” fantasy sequence in an Outsiders episode earlier this year.
And it wouldn’t be Teen Titans Go! without a new song sung by Beast Boy voice actor Greg Cipes.

“Beast Boy’s That’s What’s Up”
Beast Boy goes to visit the Doom Patrol. Beast Boy, Negative Girl, and Robotman discover some crabs are up to no good. Cyborg becomes inseparable from Robotman. It’s time for Beast Boy to leave, but the Doom Patrol try to get him to stay.
TEEN TITANS GO! is a comedy featuring the beloved DC heroes seen in a skewed light. They still fight crime and face classic villains, but mainly deal with all the issues of five teens rooming together — chores, romantic tension, demon dad drop-ins and impromptu meatball parties. They also dance! The emphasis is on the odd everyday life of super heroes who haven’t grown up.
