Deadline is reporting that Alan Tudyk has joined the cast of the DC Universe streaming show Doom Patrol from Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros TV. Tudyk will be playing the role of Eric Morden/Mister Nobody, one of the key villains of the Grant Morrison/Richard Case run and whose team The Brotherhood of Dada is emblematic of the tenor of their take on DC’s strangest heroes. Tudyk joins the recent casting news for this show, which includes Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele/Robotman, Joivan Wade as Cyborg, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, and April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman.

Here’s the log-line on the series, in case you’ve missed it:

“Doom Patrol” is a reimagining of one of DC’s strangest group of outcasts: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman and Crazy Jane. Led by the mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder they’re called into action by the ultimate hero for the digital age, Cyborg. Banding together these rejects find themselves on a mission that will take them to the weirdest and most unexpected corners of the DC universe.

  1. Going for camp comedy in a villainous absurdist fashion, then. Can remember Tudyk on one villainous role (but not the exact role or show/film), and he was good at it.
