It’s the 80th anniversary of Wonder Woman’s first appearance in 2021, and DC is marking the occasion with a massive publishing program. With commemorative releases, free editions and new series all launching, the iconic Champion of Truth and Warrior for Peace will star in projects for all age groups and audiences. The push is led by Wonderful Women of the World, an anthology featuring 23 women creators, which will be published in September.
The program kicked off in March with the “Believe in Wonder” campaign.
The program includes best-selling creators, including Laurie Halse Anderson, Shannon Hale, Kelly Sue DeConnick, Phil Jimenez, Vita Ayala, Stephanie Williams, Alitha Martinez and pretty much everyone else — including past Wonder Woman greats like George Perez, Greg Rucka and Liam Sharp.
In short, it’s a celebration fit for a princess.
