Dark Horse Manga is adding to its furr-tastic manga library with a new cat manga which will surely tickle any cat lover’s fancy. The publisher announced a total of five titles for later this year, with four of the five being continuing series, one being the much-loved manga Mob Psycho 100. With the season still being a little chilly, why not curl up inside your house with one of these manga titles?
Without further ado, here are the new titles from Dark Horse Manga.
Cthulhu Cat
For readers who love H.P. Lovecraft and cats, they can purr-use this new one-shot manga called Cthulhu Cat, written and illustrated by Pandania, who has a fair number of cat manga up their sleeve such as The Evil Secret Society of Cats. Zack Davisson translated the volume with Steve Dutro handling the lettering.
Dark Horse Manga describes the meow-tastic story as:
An ordinary Japanese high school student takes home an abandoned supernatural cat left in a cardboard box. Maybe he shouldn’t have meddled with kitties beyond human comprehension—after all, it had tentacles where its whiskers should have been! But it’s too late now. Danganronpa 2: Chiaki Nanami’s Goodbye Despair Quest Vol. 2
Chiaki Nanami’s tale continues in the second volume of Danganronpa 2: Chiaki Nanami’s Goodbye Despair Quest, created by Suzuragi Karin and developed by Spike Chunsoft. Dark Horse Manga has licensed the other Danganronpa manga series which has recorded over 800,000 copies in print.
Dark Horse Manga describes the story in Vol. 2:
Nanami witnesses the unexpected power of Monomi against a fearsome guardian Monobeast, allowing students to access a new island at the tropical Jabberwock resort/prison! The island has a library, a diner, but strangest of all, it has Hope’s Peak Academy itself, mysteriously covered by a growth of trees and vines. Some believe video games cause violence, and Monokuma is out to prove it, as he challenges the class to play a game within their game—Twilight Syndrome, which he claims will reveal their next motive to commit murder. Innocent Omnibus Vol. 3
The next installment of the Innocent Omnibus will be the last one of the series as it collects the final Vol. 7 to 9 of the original Japanese manga. Dark Horse Manga released the first volume of Shin-ichi Sakamoto’s series, inspired by historical figures and events, in November 2023 with Vol. 2 releasing later in the year on May 1.
Dark Horse describes the story in Vol. 3:
Change is on the horizon, as Marie-Joseph ascends the block. The rivalry between Charles-Henri and his sister has hit a peak. Mob Psycho 100 Vol. 15
With over 2.8 million copies in circulation as of December 2022, Mob Psycho 100 continues to grow in its popularity and it doesn’t look like it will stop. Written and illustrated by ONE, Mob Psycho 100 has earned a Harvey Award nomination for Best Manga in 2019. The manga has also enjoyed a three-season anime adaptation and a 12-episode live-action adaptation which premiered on Netflix.
Dark Horse Manga describes the continuation of Mob’s story in Vol. 15:

Cat + Gamer Vol. 6
Calling all gamers: grab your cat and settle in with the Vol. 6 of Cat + Gamer. Wataru Nadatani’s slice-of-life comedy manga received a Harvey Award nomination for the Best Manga category two years in a row. Dark Horse Manga released the first volume in March 2022. Zack Davisson translates the series while Studio Cutie’s Susie Lee does the lettering.
Dark Horse Manga describes the sixth volume of the hilarious manga:
