The Legend of Korra continues … or at least the live reading does! Dark Horse has announced that, following the success of April’s The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Part One table read, the live reading will continue, inviting back stars Janet Varney (Korra) and Seychelle Gabriel (Asami) to reprise their roles. They’re joined by more favorites from the cast including stonewall Mindy Sterling (Lin Beifong) and brothers P.J. Byrne (Bolin), David Faustino (Makko).

The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Part One is written by Nickelodeon TV series co-creator and executive producer Michael Dante DiMartino, drawn by Irene Koh, with covers by Heather Campbell, and consultation by TV series co-creator and executive producer Bryan Konietzko. Although Avatar has maintained massive popularity over the years even after Korra vanished off the air, everything changed when the original series hit Netflix just a few weeks ago. With this Korra table read, Dark Horse is tapping into that popularity to great success and will likely continue to support the Korra table reads through all three graphic novels in the series. Plus, it’s a welcome reprieve from the world of quarantine!

Naturally, this table read will pick up where the previous one left off, covering several more chapters of the graphic novel. Anyone who tunes in will also be able to follow along with a free digital excerpt, made available on Dark Horse Digital beginning at 12 am Pacific on May 26, 2020. Plus, the event will include a Q&A with the cast, and give participants a chance to win a library edition of  The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars.

Check it out on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, starting at 2 pm PT on the publisher’s Twitch – and if this is the first you’re hearing about this event, have no fear – Dark Horse has already posted the first table read on its YouTube channel.
