Welcome to The Beat’s crowdfunding round-up: a collection of some of our favorite campaigns from the week including one-shots, on-goings, anthologies and everything in-between! This week, we’re checking out Beef Bros, a leftist superhero take, Winds of Numa Sera, another epic fantasy series to keep an eye on, the final volume of Ship Wrecked, and more.

Let’s get started!

BEEF BROS: The aspirational leftist superhero comic

beef bros

Creators: Aubrey Sitterson (writer), Tyrell Cannon (artist), Fico Ossio (colorist), Taylor Esposito (letterer)
Goal: $15,000
End date: November 26, 2020
Goodies: Grab a PDF for just $5, a physical copy for $10, or pledge more for stickers, original black and white art, and more!

In Beef Bros, two happy-go-lucky himbo bodybuilders stand up for their community, pushing back against sadistic cops and greedy landlords!

The flavor text says it all when it comes to Beef Bros. It’s a fun, critical take on superheroes as we know them, following two himbo vigilantes as they fight against the systemic issues that create disparity in our capitalist society. Written and co-created by No More Heroes’ Aubrey Sitterson, with art by Tyrell Cannon, it’s a 32-page, stand-alone comic that leaves a door open for potential sequels. Plus, it helps that the campaign video is very fun. Check that out, along with a short preview, at the link below.
