Chaos! Comics is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and Dynamite Entertainment has the perfect way for fans to commemorate their favorite characters—a deluxe ultra-premium trading card set featuring fan-favorite art and one-of-a-kind hand-painted sketch cards.

Chaos! debuted with the first appearance of Evil Ernie back in 1991. Created by Brian Pulido and Steven Hughes, the character’s original publication was with Eternity Comics. In 1994, Chaos! Comics was formed and became one of the most popular upstart publishers. Along with Ernie, characters such as Purgatori, Chastity, Lady Demon, and many more were added to the lineup. The universe contained horrific monsters, psychopaths, and innovative artwork that set it apart from other worlds of the time.

In 2014, Chaos! was relaunched under Dynamite, with Tim Seeley at the helm. The publisher added to the world with characters like Mistress Hel while reincarnating favorites like Evil Ernie, Purgatori, and Chastity. Some characters even appeared in crossovers with Seeley’s Hack/Slash as well as Vampirella and Red Sonja. This fall, Chastity gets her own new installment with writer Leah Williams and artist Daniel Maine leading the charge.

The Chaos! 25th Anniversary Deluxe Ultra-Premium trading card set is available to fans and retailers as boxes and individual foil packs. Each pack includes seven cards, made up of two base cards, two sketch cards, one black and white line art card, one puzzle card, and one signed card. Artists included are Greg Capullo, Joe Quesada, J. Scott Campbell, Michael Turner, Jae Lee, Joyce Chin, Kyle Hotz, and many more.

“Chaos! made an incredible impact on the industry as soon as it started! Evil Ernie, Purgatori, Chastity, and others had such a distinct electrifying style, with stories and art that pushed the boundaries. Dynamite continues that tradition 25 years later with comic books and collectibles featuring the horror and gore in all their glory!” said Nick Barrucci, CEO and Publisher. “We wanted to immortalize that legacy for fans by creating this beautiful set of collectible cards!”

The card set will be available for preorder at comic shops this month, with a release set for September. Fans can also learn more on Dynamite’s website.
