Well NYCC Stupor Week is here, with all the excitement and dread that it brings. A bunch of locals were pre-gaming on Saturday and the consensus was that no one was vaguely ready. As a local show, there's a big difference between NYCC and SDCC, the other domestic "Super con" in that when its in your own back yard it becomes part of your regular routine and not a thrilling trip to an exotic locale. You tend to put things off a lot more. But let's look at the big picture.

A joint statement has just been released by Marvel and the family of Jack Kirby indicating that a settlement of somekind hs been made: “Marvel and the family of Jack Kirby have amicably resolved their legal disputes, and are looking forward to advancing their shared goal of honoring Mr. Kirby’s significant role in Marvel’s history.”

The latest comics themed Humble Bundle is Valiant Comics themed and it has SIX DAYS to go. The bundle includes some 120 comics and charity proceeds on the pay-what-you-want model go to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), the Hero Initiative, and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF).
