People in Hollywood are STILL liking indie comics. Descender, one of the mighty Image armada by Jeff Lemire and Dsutin Nguyen, has just been picked up by Sony after what THR called "a competitive bidding war." That could be only four figures...or more figures. The book comes out in March. I'm running out the door so here's the PR:

REYN #1 does quite a bit of world-building for a first issue, in fact the very first page has an astonishing amount of information contained in several narration boxes. The scene opens in a place known as the Barrens: a cracked, dry wasteland bereft of life, save a few leafless tree skeletons. Through the dust clouds emerge an armored rider whom the narration calls a Warden.

The Luther Strode trilogy by Justin Jordan (SPREAD, LUTHER STRODE) and Tradd Moore (LUTHER STRODE, All New Ghost Rider) warps up with a double sized issue of the LEGACY OF LUTHER STRODE on April 1. The story debuted in The Strange Talent of Luther Strode (the book which put basically put Jordan on the map) and continued in The Legend of Luther Strode.

The 10-month gap between issues might be deterrent for anyone who’s been following this series since issue one. However there’s enough in issue five to justify the wait. If we scored books this one would come in damn near perfect.
