Last month HBO Max unveiled the teaser trailer for Titans Season 3 that gave us a look at the transformation of Jason Todd (Curran Walters) into Red Hood. Today the streaming service released the full Titans Season 3 trailer.

Since Jason Todd was first introduced in the first season, fans have been waiting for him to meet his grisly demise in reference to the classic Batman storyline “A Death in the Family.” Though a mysterious shadowy figure is seen beaten by another with the iconic crowbar and Batman’s ally Robin is “confirmed” dead in the trailer, it’s safe to assume the television creators are putting their own spin on Jason’s metamorphosis into Red Hood.

We also get a quick glimpse of Tim Drake (played by actor Jay Lycurgo) reacting to the news of Robin’s death. Since nature abhors a vacuum, expect Drake to don the Robin by the end of the season. Perhaps most surprising is that Batman/Bruce Wayne (Iain Glen) will be hanging up the cowl in mourning over the death of his second Robin.

Batman’s retirement is likely the reason the Titans team is  relocating from their base in San Francisco to Gotham City in the new season. It’s there where Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) will be reunited with his old flame Barbara Gordon (Savannah Welch) now folowing in her father’s footsteps as Police Commissioner. We also meet GCPD’s new consultant, Dr. Jonathan Crane better known as the villain Scarecrow, played by Vincent Kartheiser.

In addition, an official Titans Season 3 poster was also released.
