The long-awaited first season of Batman: Caped Crusader premiered back in 2024 and in the two years since, fans have been champing at the bit for news regarding the second season two. Good things come to those who wait because Prime Video has announced that Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 from DC Studios, Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho will premiere all ten episodes on Friday, July 31.

In addition, first-look images from the new season were unveiled showcasing some of the fan-favorite residents set to appear in Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 including Edward Nygma, Carrie Kelly, and Roxy Rocket.

Fans will recall that the character of Carrie Kelly, voiced by Juliet Donenfeld, appeared in the previous season alongside other younger versions of characters who have taken up the Robin mantle in the comics including Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and Stephanie Brown. From the first look image it appears that Carrie will not only return and attempt to fight alongside Batman but also adopt a Gray Ghost costume, a fun little Easter Egg fans of the original Batman: The Animated Series will recognize.

It also looks like we can anticipate a gender swapped version of Mad Hatter, an approach that was also used for the show’s reinterpretation of The Penguin.

With San Diego Comic-Con taking place right before the premiere of Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2, it seems safe to assume to expect some new reveals such as voice cast announcements during SDCC weekend.
