Avery Hill, the UK publisher of fine graphic novels, released a teaser for their 2020 line up, including a VIDEO, seen below.

The titles include:

Victory Point

Victory Point by Owen D. Pomery
What We Don't Talk About
What We Don’t Talk About by Charlot Kristensen
Zebedee and the Valentines
Zebedee and the Valentines by Abs Bailey
The Impending Blindness of Billie Scott
The Impending Blindness of Billie Scott by Zoe Thorogood
The Flood The Did Come
The Flood That Did Come by Patrick Wray
Breakwater
Breakwater by Katriona Chapman

While the trailer doesn’t give much more information about the titles, we’re told more information will be coming in 2020. The creators are a fine bunch of up and comers – Chapman is an Avery Hill regular, with Follow Me In,  and Pomery previously published Between the Billboards.

Avery Hill is best known for publishing the early works of Tillie Walden, and they have a fine eye for talent. John Seven profiled the publisher and its main men Rickey Miller and Dave White just a few weeks ago in fact!

“We generally say that Avery Hill was like the cross section of our tastes,” Miller said. “We’re both into quite different things but then also there’s a lot of crossover, which is why we were friends in the first place. When we were growing up, there’d be some music Dave would like that I would hate and some stuff I’d like that he would hate. Where we crossed over, we were probably pretty sure that stuff was actually good. I think it’s the same here. We both bring in slightly different taste to it, but where we both like something, I think we’re generally pretty confident that that one’s going to be a good one.”

“We do struggle to describe it beyond the fact that it’s stuff that we like and we’d buy if it was on the shelf and someone else had published it,” White said.

This is definitely an eclectic line-up of wide ranging stories…just like comics should be. I can’t wait to find out more and read them!
