AWA Studios has launched Artists for LA, a new, month-long charity campaign on Zoop, which is auctioning off original art, prints, signed comics, and more to benefit those affected by the wildfires in California. Artists contributing to the campaign include Bill Sienkiewicz, Denys Cowan, Alison Sampson, and Mike Deodato Jr. (who provided the above illustration of Conan the Barbarian.) Proceeds will go to the California Fire Foundation’s Wildfire and Disaster Relief Fund, and the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund.

At the time of writing, the artists for LA campaign has raised $2,365 of its $10,000 target. For updates, and information on how you can get involved, head to the link. The current wildfire season in California began on January 7, and has claimed 28 lives, displaced over 200,000 people, and destroyed over 18,000 structures. Mad Cave have also announced an anthology to benefit those affected, titled LA Strong: A Charity Comic for Victims of the Los Angeles Fires, which does not currently have a release date, but which will presumably continue to keep up the good work after AWA’s fundraiser concludes by the end of February.
