As we head into the weekend, a little reminder that everyone labors under an invisible burden. Depression affects more than 350 million people worldwide. It can be a case of the blues, or a life threatening illness. In this 6-page comic, running online for the first time, cartoonist Tony Wolf talks about facing and overcoming his depression. It’s a reminder that no matter how dark things seem, there is always help.

Wolf is an actor, a voice over artist, and the former host of The Action Room.  He’s also a cartoonist whose work has appeared in the NY Times.

This piece originally appeared in Sweaty Palms, an anthology of work (mostly by women) about anxiety and depression. Wolf graciously offered to let it run here on the Beat and we’re pleased to present it.
