During an  IGN interview with Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman some new details regarding season three of the popular Telltale Games series based on his comics were dropped.

  • The game will  be “checking in on Clementine again”, according to Kirkman. Though it isn’t clear if Clementine will be the only focus of the story this time around.
  • Kirkman also talked about this new season bringing the games closer to where he is in the comics. Considering Telltale’s games don’t come with lengthy development cycles which keep more video games from syncing with their licensed properties; it wouldn’t be out of the question to consider Clementine popping in the comics for a stint. Or even other characters from the comics making appearances in the game.
  • With seasons 1&2 of Telltale’s game taking place in the early apocalypse; this new game will see an older version of Clementine. Though somehow we’d like to continue to hear Melissa Hutchison continue to voice Clementine.
  • Telltale Games The Walking Dead Season 3 will debut before the end of the year.

Fans won’t have to wait long for more Telltale Walking Dead as tomorrow will see the release of the final chapter in their Michonne miniseries.

Episode 3: ‘What We Deserve’ will be available starting Tuesday, April 26thon PC/Mac via the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, the PlayStation®Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One® and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, for compatible iOS devices via the App Store, and for Android-based devices via Google Play and the Amazon Appstore.

  1. Melissa Hutchison is perfectly capable of voicing a teenage girl or a grown woman (like Beauty in The Wolf Among Us, for example) so I imagine she’ll be back however old Clementine is this time.
