The fantasy adventure comic, Scales & Scoundrels will be having a double release on February 7th.  The first tpb (Into the Dragon’s Maw) arrives at stores and so does issue #6.  Something about that first volume ending in a cliffhanger…

Official PR follows:

Writer Sebastian Girner (SHIRTLESS BEAR-FIGHTER!) and artist Galaad will release the first trade paperback collection—as well as issue six, which kicks off the series’ second story arc—of SCALES & SCOUNDRELS, the fantasy adventure story for roguish scoundrels of all ages.

It’s hard to make an honest living in a land brimming with magic and mystery, and treasure hunter Luvander is tired of being a penniless adventurer. Ever in search of gold and glory, she sets off for a fabled dungeon, “the Dragon’s Maw,” an ancient labyrinth, at the bottom of which slumbers endless wealth…or certain doom!

But what starts out as a road to riches becomes the first step on an epic journey of a much different kind—for Luvander holds a secret in her heart that will shatter the chains of fate and bring light to a world encroached upon by an ancient darkness.

Take heart, readers: the first arc may end with a giant cliffhanger, but issue six is delivered to you posthaste to ease the sting.

SCALES & SCOUNDRELS, VOL. 1: INTO THE DRAGON’S MAW (Diamond code: NOV170682, ISBN: 978-1-5343-0482-6) and SCALES & SCOUNDRELS #6 (Diamond code: DEC170758) hit comic book stores Wednesday, February 7th. 1. This is a great book. I get it monthly so won;t pick up any trades, but it is a great book that a lot of people should be reading. Funny thing is I never got it on purpose. The first issue was in my pull bin. I thought, why not give it a try? Everyone in my house loves it and reads it as soon as the new issue comes out. I heard they are planning to go to at least issue 20 so I hope it stays for a long time.
