Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced the release of Marvel’s Runaways Character and Level Pack for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 the video game. The pack adds a level and characters inspired by Brian K Vaughan and Adrian Alphona’s iconic comic series. Here’s the press release from WB Games:

In this all-new Runaways comic inspired level pack, players will travel to the undersea Marine Vivarium, where they’ll try to escape from the chaos and destruction that their criminal parents – ‘The Pride’ – have brought upon them. New unlockable characters Nico Minoru, Chase Stein, Alex Wilder, Karolina Dean, Molly Hayes, Old Lace, and Gertrude Yorkes add to the main game’s roster of over 200 Super Heroes and Super Villains.

The Runaways level pack can be purchased separately or as part of the Season Pass which includes six Level Packs and four Character Packs, including the previously released Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Black Panther and Cloak & Dagger content, and the Champions, Out of Time, and Agents of Atlas Character Packs. The Season Pass is available for $14.99 suggested retail price or as part of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Deluxe Edition, which features the main game, access to the Classic Guardians of the Galaxy Character Pack, and an exclusive Giant-Man LEGO Minifigure (Minifigure only available in the physical version of the Deluxe Edition).

It’s pretty popular to hate on games that offer a season pass. There are egregious examples out there of games “optionally” tacking on between $40-50 for various amounts of additional content after a title has launched, even WB has been guilty. Sometimes players have justifiably felt cheated with DLC content not being much more than a few inconsequential pieces they were led to believe as vital to the enjoyment of a game. However, LEGO games have been a rare instance of these season passes being reasonable. Batman, Star Wars, and Marvel licensed have offered a lot of DLC for $15 bucks. Developer, TT Games has been adding content fans want to see based on various MCU stuff such as Black Panther, Ant-Man and The Wasp, even comic book based packs like Agents of Atlas and the classic Guardians of the Galaxy.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 base game is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
