In case you missed the news, the Warcraft movie finally comes out this Friday. Directed by Duncan Jones and starring Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Robert Kazinsky and Daniel Wu, the movie looked pretty groovy when I saw a little preview last year at Comic-Con, but reviews have been…well. It’s a video game movie and those are always, always…poorly reviewed. I’m seeing it in about three hours, so I’ll let you know what I think.
In the meantime, the film is produced by Legendary and as with all films from that house, it is getting a comics prequel, namely Warcraft: Bonds of Brotherhood that takes place about 30 years before the events of the movie. In it we meet young Llane, Lothar and Medivh and their first alliance is chronicled.
And here’s a preview, courtesy of the folks at Legendary Comics.
