NYCC and Uniqlo have announced a partnership for this years show. It’s the first time that Uniqlo. the Japanese clothing brand, has teamed up with NYCC but it seems like a natural. Uniqlo has been making comics-themed clothing for a while now (I still treasure the t-shirts from their Tezuka collab nearly a decade ago.) Past team-ups include One PIece, Naruto, Disney and Marvel.
The partnership will include exclusive UT’s (Uniqlo T-Shirts) sold only at the UNIQLO NYCC booth; on-site prizes for fans and a ticket giveaway sweepstake starting September 6.
I’m very excited about this team-up: Uniqlo is one of my favorite brands – I practically live in their clothes, no exaggeration – because of their high quality and timeless styles. And they just opened a little bookstore in their Soho store that sells manga! I’m totally in for this One Piece collab as well.
Uniqlo will also host two sweepstakes for those hard to get tickets:
- Two separate sweepstakes for NYCC fans. Beginning September 6th through the 22nd, 20 lucky fans will have the chance to win in-demand Comic Con tickets at UNIQLO’s 5th Avenue store. And during the same time period, UNIQLO will offer an online giveaway for an additional 30 tickets via a microsite at http://uniqlo.us/2iKuAjX
