Yikes, the 2014 comics calendar just got a new event to get it off to a bangin’ start: the third Image Expo, to be held January 9 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. From the looks of things it will be another big media and fan event, as was the last one, held in July.
Image Comics is pleased to announce the return of Image Expo! After the success of last year’s Image Expo, the popular media event returns to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on January 9, 2014. The event is open to all fans, comics retailers, and members of the media.
This will be an all-day event featuring such guests as Robert Kirkman (Image Comics partner and the creator of THE WALKING DEAD), Matt Fraction (Eisner Award winner and writer of SEX CRIMINALS and SATELLITE SAM), Rick Remender (writer of BLACK SCIENCE and DEADLY CLASS), Kelly Sue DeConnick (writer of PRETTY DEADLY), Brandon Graham (Eisner Award-winning writer/artist of PROPHET & MULTIPLE WARHEADS), and Marian Churchland (Russ Manning Award-winning creator of BEAST). In addition, there will be special surprise guests in attendance.
Tickets to the event will be available for purchase on November 11, 2013. General admission tickets are $20. Premium tickets are $50, and include preferred seating and exclusive Image Comics releases. Seating is limited. Admission for retailers and members of the media is complimentary. Please contact Image Comics for details.
Don’t miss your chance to meet creators, attend panels and signings, receive exclusive swag, and get the scoop on all that Image Comics has in store for 2014.
