Z2 Comics has announced a new leadership team following the departure of one of the publisher’s co-founders. The new team includes the two remaining co-founders taking on new roles, as well as three additional promotions from within the publisher, which primarily produces graphic novels and collectibles based on the work of and in collaboration with bands and individual musicians.

Here’s the breakdown of the new Z2 leadership team, pictured above:

Sridhar Reddy: Publisher
Kevin Meek: Chief Executive Officer, Former CFO and General Counsel
Josh Bernstein: President, Former Senior Vice President
Aleksey Zelenberg: Chief Technology Officer, Former Data Scientist
Courtney Menard: Creative Director, Former Director of Production

Missing from that lineup is co-founder and former CEO Josh Frankel, who ICv2 reports and Z2’s official statement confirms has left the publisher to pursue other opportunities. According to the report news of Frankel’s departure began circulating at this past week’s New York Comic Con, leading Z2 to expedite the official announcement on their end. Frankel founded Z2 Comics with Meek, Bernstein, and Reddy in the mid-2010s.

In a statement announcing the leadership changes, Reddy, Meek, and Bernstein all look forward to the future of the publisher:

“It’s been a joy to witness this company rapidly grow from beautiful single-issue comics to high-end graphic novels, collectible merchandise, and exclusive events with some of the biggest talents in music, comics, and media,” Publisher Sridhar Reddy explains. “We’ve built an amazing core of expertise and talent in the company and I’m very excited to see Z2 achieve the next level of success under this new team. We’ve only scratched the surface of our full potential.”

“Z2 is the place where artists connect with fans in a unique way,” new CEO Kevin Meek continues. “I am incredibly grateful to be chosen to helm our dynamic and diverse team of talented professionals as we enter our next phase of innovation and growth—delivering amazing stories that honor both artists and their fans.”

“I’m incredibly proud to see how quickly we have built this brand to this point,” new President Josh Bernstein says. “But the next few months of A-list announcements, key industry partnerships, and these much-deserved internal promotions are what really excites me about Z2’s incredibly bright future.”
