This week, WONDER WOMAN: BLOODLINES was released on DVD and blu-ray. This DC Comics animated film follows the origin of the Justice League’s lead heroine. When a “troubled young girl” finds herself recruited by Villainy Inc., an organization who has designs on invading Wonder Woman’s homeland, Themyscira, Diana takes the girl under her wing and prepares to defend her home from the invaders. An origin story for the ages, the actor who voices Wonder Woman, Rosario Dawson, says that she’s proud that her take on Diana is not only physically strong, but even stronger thanks to her emotional vulnerability.

Wonder Woman Rosario Dawson stars in BLOODLINES

Wonder Woman: Bloodlines is directed by Justin Copeland and Sam Liu. The screenplay is written by Mairghread Scott. Producers include Jim Krieg, Liu, Matthew Mahoney, Amy McKenna, Sam Register, and James Tucker. The film’s voice cast, in addition to the above, includes Kimberly Brooks (Cheetah), Ray Chase (Lead Bandit), Jeffrey Donovan (Steve Trevor), Michael Dorn (Ferdinand), Adrienne C. Moore (Etta Candy), Cree Summer (Hippolyta/Medusa), Nia Vardalos (Julia Kapatelis), and Constance Zimmer (Veronica Cale).
