It’s one of the busiest weekends of the year on the East Coast with THREE THREE THREE important shows.

• Finally the new kid on the block, Keystone Comic Con, a new ReeedPOP event held in Philadelphia with a full featured comic con line up including guests Frank Miller, John Barrowman, Anna Paquin, Steve Orlando, Alitha Martinez and more.

I’ll be at both Keystone and SPX, weather willing. In fact let’s talk about that weather – what you may be asking yourself is whether the roil from Hurricane Florence, currently bearing down on the Carolinas will have an impact?

It sounds like mostly a very very rainy weekend for Philadelphia and New York. SPX has been impacted by hurricanes before, and the Twitter has been keeping everyone updated constantly. For now it just looks wet:

HOWEVER, there will be a transportation glitch with SPX: the White Flint metro stop a few hundred feet from the hotel will be CLOSED for maintenance.

Buses replace trains between Medical Center and Twinbrook

Red Line trains will operate regular weekend intervals between Shady Grove & Twinbrook and Medical Center & Glenmont.

Free shuttle buses will operate between Twinbrook, White Flint, Grosvenor-Strathmore and Medical Center. Please allow an additional 10 minutes travel time per station stop.

Stations closed: White Flint and Grosvenor-Strathmore.

There more detailed info in the replies to this tweet, but basically is you are coming from Union Station, you get off the shuttle at Medical Center and take the shuttle two stops to White Flint. Or Lyft  it. It’s a short 10 minute ride.

The main thing; bring a raincoat and an umbrella and a waterproof bag to bring your comcis hoem with you whichever show you go to! It’s gonna be wet out there!

While we’re fortunate that the effects of Florence should be minimal for this very full weekend of comics, we send our good thougtsh to everyone in the hurricane’s path.

We’ll have more info on all of these shows later today.
