Can’t get enough of the Uzumaki clan? VIZ Media has got all new merch lined up in anticipation of Naruto’s 20th anniversary. VIZ will launch the Year of Naruto at New York Comic Con 2019 (NYCC) with one-of-a-kind, limited edition manga-inspired products. Additional product announcements will come throughout 2020.

VIZ will release an official Naruto skateboard deck by Hypland and a hand-numbered, exclusive poster in hologram detail for its Year of Naruto festivities at NYCC. The poster highlights the stages of NARUTO’s evolution from ninja-in-training to full-fledged Hokage.

Fans who are unable to attend NYCC will have additional opportunities to buy Year of Naruto memorabilia throughout 2020. The company has planned an assortment of items and special events going, including video games, pop-up installations, live programming with panel discussions, and other officially-licensed products.

The Naruto manga series debuted in Japan’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1999. In the original series, Naruto Uzumaki is a young ninja who aspires to become Hokage, or leader, of his village and earn respect from his peers. VIZ picked up the series in 2003 for its English counterpart of Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga became a dedicated series in both countries and spawned a follow-up series called Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

VIZ Media’s official Naruto page will announce Year of Naruto merchandise availability as the events approach.
